That took much longer than I’d hoped it would; a number of family crises had to be managed in the last year but they’re all sorted and the book is at the printer now! And only about 20 years after someone suggested that I write a book based on my blog. I’m very pleased with the result and the early feedback is gratifyingly positive. Big thanks to everyone who supported me along the way. Particular thanks to Jon Skeet who finally got payback on me for my writing a foreword to his book where I compared him to a concert pianist, by writing a foreword to my book where he compared me to Steven Sondheim. It’s charming.

Is the book’s focus language or implementation-dependent? Like memory allocation and management aspects, garbage collection, heap vs stack, performance, or is it more focused on the ideas and philosophy behind the structures and algorithms?
Like, more theory and philosophy or more practical?
What about zero-allocation techniques similar to those used in bepuphysics2? Or other similar approaches involving structures and algorithms designed for maximum performance, or looking at algorithms and structures where CPU intrinsics are fundamentally part of the design to perform multiple operations in one go?
